Overview

SideNote is a simple sidebar note-taking extension for Google Chrome. Your privacy is straightforward here: we don't collect anything. Your notes are yours, stored locally, and never leave your device.

Data Collection

SideNote does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or share any personal data or information of any kind. The extension stores your notes locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API.

Your notes never leave your device. There are no servers, no databases, no accounts, and no data collection of any kind.

Permissions

SideNote requests only the permissions necessary to function:

sidePanel — to display the notes interface in Chrome's side panel
storage — to save your notes locally within your browser

Third Parties

SideNote does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or tracking tools of any kind.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, you can delete your notes at any time by clearing your browser's extension storage or uninstalling SideNote. Uninstalling the extension removes all associated local data.
